SBR = Styrene Butadiene Rubber. SBR rubber is a copolymer of butadiene and styrene. It is very often used instead of natural rubber. It has good properties, some of which are superior to NR.
Advantages of SBR Rubber
- Very good mechanical, abrasion and tear resistance.
- Electrically conductive
- Resistance to water, alcohol
Limits: Flammable, Poor resistance to ozone and UV. Poor resistance to oils and solvents. Application
